Eckhart Brewing, a new brewery based in the vibrant Brooklyn neighborhood of Bushwick, is preparing to open the doors of its much-anticipated taproom. While the space is still awaiting opening, Eckhart Brewing is already making a name for itself through its distribution of European-style lagers. Founders Nick Meyer and his team came to Knockout Design with a clear vision: to create a custom designed tap handle that reflected their identity and unique brews. Inspired by the tradition of European brewing, Eckhart requested a custom shaped wooden tap marker with a distinctly continental silhouette. The result is a beautifully crafted tap handle that balances tradition with a modern spin.
The Knockout Designs team laser-engraved their stylized “E” logo into a decorative, carved medallion form on the top of the custom tap handle—a nod to traditional European beer labelling. Below, the wooden shaft is clean and sleek, with “ECKHART” vertically printed in dark green, a natural color that adds to the timeless design. The combination of laser engraving and the sturdy wooden construction guarantees a long-lasting piece that maintains its polished appearance.
The rounded shape of the custom designed tap handle provides a tactile feel, perfect for bartenders who need tap handles that pour as well as they present.
