When Knockout Designs met Bill from Thirsty Robot Brewing at the Massachusetts Brewers Guild annual conference in Framingham, we immediately connected over a shared passion for craftsmanship and design. Bill was drawn to our display of laser-engraved wooden tap handles and saw the potential for a perfect match with Thirsty Robot’s distinctive branding. Based in Fitchburg, MA, Thirsty Robot Brewing is a lively and creative space that combines the mechanical with the artisanal—blending sci-fi, robotics, and craft beer. Their logo, which features a hop cone enclosed in a gear, fit nicely on the rounded top of our custom wooden tap marker. The precise detail and contrast of laser engraving brought their logo to life.
The Knockout Designs team crafted the body of the custom tap handle that was engraved vertically with the brewery’s name in their signature font, which translated exceptionally well into the grain of the wood. The laser engraving adds a dimensional quality that makes each tap handle stand out both visually and to the touch. Laser engraving also provides fine detail, making it the perfect choice for intricate logos, small text, and complex designs.
