Skye from Hope Breakfast Bar in Minnesota reached out to Knockout Designs to create a custom tap handle for their new Hope Golden Ale. Known for its welcoming approach to breakfast, brunch, and cocktails, Hope Breakfast Bar wanted an inspired tap marker that reflected this.
The custom tap handle reflects the personality of a restaurant that goes beyond traditional breakfast. Hope Breakfast Bar serves breakfast and brunch favorites with its own “hope-filled spin,” while its bar program features brunch cocktails all day, making the beverage experience an important part of the brand.
For the project, Skye wanted a classic wooden tap handle with a natural, handcrafted appearance. The Knockout Designs team created a custom shaped wooden handle featuring a rounded top that provides the perfect space to showcase the Hope Breakfast Bar logo. The logo was laser engraved onto a dark inset at the top, creating a strong visual against the light wood.
Down the custom tap shaft, we laser engraved “Hope Golden Ale” vertically. The clean engraving keeps the branding easy to read from afar while allowing the natural wood to remain part of the design.
The result is a unique tap handle that feels natural and warm. The combination of laser engraving and the sturdy wooden construction guarantees a long lasting piece that maintains its polished appearance.
With multiple locations throughout the Twin Cities, Hope Breakfast Bar has built a growing food and drink community. This custom Hope Golden Ale tap handle combines natural wood, precision laser engraving, and recognizable branding into a functional piece of bar décor.
